New Strike Opportunity in Western NY

We have just contracted with an acute care facility in Western New York State. They are anticipating a possible strike the beginning of June. It is a large facility with both their RNs and Allied contracts expiring at the same time, so there are LOTS of different positions that will be available. We will be posting all the positions over the next few days.

We are currently working on a few different healthcare assignments, for both labor disputes and non labor disputes.

We are recruiting for non labor dispute related positions in New Jersey. RN’s and CNA’s are needed in Bergen, Morris and Essex counties in New Jersey. These are temporary to start with the possibility of being offered full time employment from the client at their wages and benefits if they are pleased with the work. Due to the time frame of getting a New Jersey license, only those already licensed in New Jersey can work this assignment. We hope to have a date of when this job will start soon.

We have had CNAs working at a nursing home in Connecticut on a labor dispute since December. We are still ready in the event the client or union decides to spread the labor dispute to their other facilities in Connecticut.

We are still recruiting and waiting on strike notices for the following locations – RNs and CNAs for long term care facilities in Rhode Island and Allied personnel for an Acute Care facility in Northern California.

The acute care facility in Oregon is on hold again while they continue to negotiate. If/when they reactivate us to recruit we will let you know.

We have a new contract with an acute care facility in Northern California that may be having a labor dispute. These are all allied positions. Please visit the job opportunities page to see the positions available.

We are also recruiting CNAs and RNs for non strike related positions in New Jersey. Because of the length of time required to get a license in New Jersey, you must already have a license in New Jersey to be considered for these positions.

Strike possiblity in Rhode Island heating up!

Our client in Rhode Island has reactivated our recruiting efforts for two Long Term Care facilities near Providence, Rhode Island. CNAs, RNs and LPNs are all needed. RNs and LPNs can work in Rhode Island if they have a Compact multistate license.

We are assisting with CNA licensing for Rhode Island if you do not currently have a certification in the State of Rhode Island, call a recruiter for details! As soon as a 10 day notice is received, we will contact all that have said they are available for this assignment.

As we begin what is starting out to be a very busy 2012, we are working with several different facilities for labor disputes and other crisis situations.

We are currently licensing out of state personnel for the following positions:

CNAs – Connecticut and Massachusetts
LPN’s – Connecticut
RN’s – Oregon
Pharmacy Techs – Oregon and Massachusetts
Respiratory Therapists – Massachusetts
PT, OT, OTA – Massachusetts
Mammographers – Massachusetts

Please call a recruiter to receive a license application packet for those states.

Update – The client in Boston for the Home Health RN positions has a tentative agreement, so those positions are no longer available.

Although everyone here at Huffmaster is very busy with the Holiday Season, we are still diligently working to staff all our contracted strike preps.

We are actively recruiting for the following potential labor disputes:

Central Oregon – RNs, Allied and Service personnel for an Acute Care facility

Eastern Massachusetts – Home Health RNs

Southeastern Massachusetts – Large hospital with Allied and Service personnel

Connecticut – We have CNAs actively working a labor dispute at a nursing home there, with the potential to spread to up to 5 other facilities in Connecticut.

Rhode Island – Possible labor dispute at two long term care facilities

Home Health and Mother/Child RN labor dispute just posted for Massachusetts

It has been very busy here at Huffmaster for healthcare strikes this fall/winter! We deployed the first group of CNAs for a labor dispute in Connecticut yesterday, and just posted new positions for RN’s in Massachusetts today.

If you are an RN with experience in either Home Health or Mother/Child we need you for a labor dispute scheduled to start early to mid January. Both the Connecticut CNA/LPN labor dispute and the Massachusetts RN’s are expected to be open ended, so these are a great opportunity to earn some money!

Due to the volume of calls our recruiters are dealing with, we have started a second hotline number for this RN assignment in Massachusetts. Please call 888-742-5023 if you want to speak to a recruiter regarding the RN assignment.

Don’t forget, we still have the Massachusetts hospitals for the Allied and Service personnel, the Hospital in Oregon, and the CNA’s, LPN’s and RN’s in Rhode Island as well that may be receiving a 10 day notice at any time.

Connecticut CNAs deploying next week!

We are having a very BUSY December!!!! We have a labor dispute scheduled to begin on December 13th at one facility in Connecticut.

If you are wanting to go out on strike deployments, we staff the assignments based on those that have their files complete. We had MANY CNAs that wanted to get on the first wave of deployment, but their files weren’t complete. There are 6 other sites in Connecticut that could start sometime after that, so if you are a CNA or LPN signed up to work these sites, please call a recruiter to see what documents you still need to submit!

We are working on several other strike deployments that could get 10 day notices at any time. Please use the Connecticut deployment as an example and don’t wait to submit your documents!!!

Central Oregon Strike Preparation reactivated!
